Chimney and stud wall kind of day

Still more chimney action and the stair well started up and some big action on the heavy beams attached to the fireplace chimney. I’m so glad the carpenter crew is comprised of strong young men. Yike! those glue-lam beams look heavy.
A bit cool in the morning but the rains held off.

And the rains set in

We all knew the rains would come and it looks like we’re in for a week or so of it, but fortunately some things are starting to get covered. The garage roof is on (except for the metal) and is now covered in black plastic. The floor gets poured Tuesday.
